I don't care about what you think about Kankri, but objectively, sexual harassment cannot happen by mere shoulder touching. Yes, Cronus bullied him but he did not sexual harass him in any way shape or form. You do realize that by your thinking, you have trivialized actual victims of sexual assault?

Sexual harassment includes many things…

• Unwanted deliberate touching, leaning over, cornering, or pinching.
• Giving a massage around the neck or shoulders

A victim may consent or agree to certain conduct and actively participate in it even though it is offensive and objectionable. Therefore, sexual conduct is unwelcome whenever the person subjected to it considers it unwelcome.

The shifting nature and consequent legitimacy of Karkat’s emotions has also been a pretty big theme for him - from his hate crush on John to his self directed tirades during the intermission. And on the flipside Gamzee has been shown to exploit/exaggerate certain emotions with Eq, Nep, Karkat, Terezi, and pretty much everyone at the final “showdown”. There’s definitely room to criticize the execution but I think the relationship has some context in the comic.

The differences between Karkat’s relationship with John and himself and his relationship with Gamzee is that the first two actually had some build up. Karkat spent the entirety of Act 4 hating John’s guts and treating him like shit, and then we learn trolls have a hate-based romance, and then it turns out Karkat had a hate-crush on John all along! It was funny because we already knew Karkat hated John. Karkat has never shown that he particularly cared about Gamzee, and the only hints to their future relationship was Nepeta’s shipping wall (which is like expecting us to care about whether or not Karkat and Vriska will end up together because they showed up on the wall together.)

And the problem with the idea of Gamzee using his chucklevoodoos to exaggerate Karkat’s concern for him is that unlike Equius submitting to Gamzee, Nepeta flipping out and attacking Gamzee, and Terezi going around blaming Vriska for everything, is that those three seemed perfectly in-character before the revelation of Gamzee’s powers. Equius’s submissiveness was one of his major character traits, it was understandable that Nepeta would be enraged by the death of her moirail and would do something reckless to avenge him, and Terezi just fucking hated Vriska’s guts and as far as she knew there literally weren’t any other suspects who would have done those things. So even though Equius may have acted a little more submissive than usual, or that Terezi came off as a complete dumbass going around blaming Vriska based on obviously planted evidence, it still seemed like their character traits were being exaggerated instead of having new ones added. We have no reason to assume Karkat had any concern for Gamzee that could have been exaggerated in the first place. It was like if Vriska was a perfectly nice individual and Terezi had no animosity towards her, and she still blamed her for all the murders for no reason. It would have been dumb and made no sense, even if Terezi was having her emotions messed with by an evil clown.

Gamzee’s problems as a character have nothing to do with him being an idiot. You can read more about my opinions on fictional alien juggalos in the fucking thesis paper that I wrote about him.

yeah, the mane six were all based on G1 characters, but hasbro lost the rights to them, except for applejack and spike, so they gave their personalities to G3 characters.

the citizens of ponyville used to be under the constant threat of being attacked by the horrible monsters that lived in the everfree forest until fluttershy moved into town and politely asked them all to leave.
